STEVEN'S
BACKGROUND
In high school, Steven discovered an interest in acting having prepared for Neil Simon's, "Come Blow Your Horn," where he was cast as the Jewish father, Mr. Baker. Before the play was to be presented, it was cancelled.
Life happened and Steven found himself in another path, one he had not planned for, a career as a law enforcement officer, and his acting had to take a backseat.
Years later, her was asked to play the father in a community play, "To Hell and Back." This time, the play did make it to stage and each of the seven nights, it was packed to capacity with audiences of 400 plus each night.
After twenty-one years on the streets and as an SVU detective, his law enforcement career is now in the past and his desire to be back on stage and front of the camera is now in process, again.
Steven has a wealth of experience as a law enforcement officer with his twenty-one year career police officer and undercover SVU detective, with cases seen on Investigation Discovery®, the Discovery Channel®, FOX®, and TruTV® as well as coverage by the New York Times®, Los Angeles Times®, San Diego Union Tribune®, and the Tuscaloosa Times® as well as numerous books and periodicals.
Steven was the negotiating and arresting officer of The Clairemont Killer, serial killer featured on America's Most Wanted®. He worked closely with the FBI, Department of Justice's United States Attorney's Office, the United States Postal Inspector's Service (USPIS), as well as Alabama Attorney General's Office (Troy King). During his spotless career, he brought an International Fugitive from Justice on Canada's Most Wanted out from hiding.
For a period of time Steven was the Corporate Security Training Officer for the second largest physical security company in the world and worked with clients such as Mercedes Benz USI, Honeywell, Goodyear, and others.
Now, Steven is an author with several crime books published, a Law & Crime and Deception writer for Psychology Today, and a regular guest on Crime Stories with Nancy Grace with over 60 appearances, and is actively seeking roles for film and television.
